What’s up?

the project’s intended purpose

The project’s primary goal is to normalize mental health problems, especially among our target audience of young adults and teenagers, to speak, reach out and share via Whatsapp openly and safely. To remind people that they are not alone.

To encourage reaching out and increasing awareness of our society’s ever-growing phenomena deteriorating mental health and communicating without fear. We played with the app’s name and core idea and asked the young people a simple awakening question – what’s up? One of the most frequently common questions globally, although usually, the answer to the question is almost robotic and not sincere. That is why we say in the campaign that solving the problem starts with asking that question. We believe this campaign can lead to a global change in perception regarding mental health and deepen the conversation and openness regarding giving and receiving help and support for mental health issues.
